U.S. IMPOSSIBLES/THE WEIRD LOVEMAKERS split7 (No Theme)
The U.S. Impossibles are one of those garage
punk bands that I know wouldn't be good if they had a decent recording,
but since they don't have one, the rawness gives them the energy their
melodic tendencies would have otherwise drown out. The Weird Lovemakers
on the other hand are fucked from the beginning, I dont think a good recording could make them lose their energy and snottiness, because they are dripping in it. Which of course rules, they play fast snotty punk that makes me
want to sing and drink and dance. Both songs totally fucking rock, as does the little ditty they tack on the end. They sound like the Blanks '77 on 78!
