Go Metric! Summer 1999 "Flu Shot" LP You and I, dear reader, are not likely to encounter another band like WLM, capable of playing with such intensity while retaining a solid sense of melody. when playing this fast, tunefullness is the first thing most bands jettison. This is an overwhelming listening experience and not in the MTV/ Extreme Nation "we have nothing of value to share with you, so we'll load on the quantity of crap in hopes that you shant notice" way. Quite the contrary, WLM are bursting at the seams with great ideas. Not the kind of record that lends itself to summary, suffice it to say that these gents are in the same ballpark as bands such as New Bomb Turks and/or Scared of Chaka (both of whom I like), only a notch better.
